In a few weeks I will be very fortunate to see Steve Martin with Martin Short. I’ve been a very big fan of Steve for a long time and he really is an incredible talent - comedian, actor, writer, producer, songwriter and a superb musician that can play the banjo with the best. He is without a doubt a brilliant talent. If you ever have a chance to see him, I urge you not to miss it. He’s worth it.

That'll be a show well worth seeing.

I saw his banjo that he used on SNL back in the day up at the National Banjo Musem in Oklahoma City a couple of months ago.

He made some of my favorite movies from the 80s and 90s. LA Story is my own personal cult classic.

Years ago, I saw the movie Shopgirl which starred Steve Martin. This is the only movie I have ever seen with him in it, so any impressions I have of him come from that movie. I came away from that movie very sad for the female co-star (or at least the character she played in that movie). I don’t know what outcome I expected, but that movie was a downer for me.

Two hours of a hilarious movie. Then the last seven minutes of that movie completely changed everything. Steve Martin and the past John Candy with a stunning performance. When the lights came up, most of the people in the theater were crying.
