For sale is a 20217-3 reference Universal Geneve Polerouter with a 138SS bumper movement and a patinated dial. The fairly uncommon no-lume dial has developed patina and speckling throughout. The case has been polished but lugs are still fairly sharp. The caseback has one large scratch and general wear/polishing. Please see below for more details, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Dial: Original, non-refinished dial has developed patina and speckling throughout. The dial is a fairly uncommon no-lume (non-radium) variant. As you can see from the photos, it shows a nice patina in sunlight but more subtle patina otherwise.

Case: Original 35mm stainless steel 20217-3 reference case is in decent condition but has seen polishing. Lugs are still well defined. Caseback has a large scratch and does seem to have been polished as the case reference and serial number is only faintly visible. That said, unlike some of the other 20217 references (20217-4 for example), the 20217-3 caseback had a very lightly inscribed case reference and serial number so that doesn't help. Serial number is 1779505, dating the watch to ~1956.

Crown: Correct signed Universal Geneve crown that I managed to source and have installed (it had an unsigned crown when I got it).

Crystal: Generic crystal is free of scratches.

Movement: Original 138SS caliber bumper automatic movement runs, winds, and sets well, but service history is unknown so a service is recommended prior to regular use.

Strap: Comes on the gently used Altamarea dark brown leather strap pictured.

Price is $1,350. I'll cover insured US shipping, international shipping is available but cost to be discussed with buyer. Transferwise is preferred for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.
