One more question if you don't mind: in approximate terms, over what length of time did you develop this collection? Thanks again.
I started in 2004. but mainly with seikos as they were the only watches that I can afford. That was the time when I finished my high school and done with my national conscription. And perhaps after I graduated from my university in 2008, only then I started to earn slightly more coins to chip into this madness.
Two questions.....Where do you live? And........When are you going on vacation? Incredible collection!!! Especially after hearing the time frame that they were acquired.
I look at your collection.....I'm not worthy... I'm not worthy!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just put on a clinic on what a well curated collection looks like. Ps thanks also for posting I the UG sub forum.
Thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of luck. And a hell load of obsessions for this hobby. I cannot say that I'm one of the TOP collectors here, nowhere close, but I reckoned I'm one of the most crazy, addicted one on this planet.
Thank you for your reply: aside from the watches and stories associated with a collection like this, I find it particularly insipiring to be reminded that good collections take time to develop (in addition to smarts, perserverence, etc). Thanks again and all the best.
Of all the sub watch forums here, Universal Geneve will always have a special place in my heart; with their historical contribution in the horological world. Having said that, I actually started with Seikos, then moved on to Omegas. I was big on Omegas then. When I decided that I'm so bored of the speed masters, (though the Ed white or the 2915 would be in my TOP list), I decided to move on to different watch brands as I believe that every maker has their prime pieces. So I tend not to stick to just a single brand.
Agree. My taste change over time too. And to me, vintage watch is about finding the right piece, and right model. Not any will do. I think condition is one of the utmost importance in choosing your piece well.
Thanks for your response.. Would be tough to choose for me between that and the Nina, but think that might just be my choice as well. Again, wonderful collection!
Nice Longines watches. That Blancpain grail is also really nice. Vladimir Putin would invade a country or two for that one, I bet...
This is his favorite watch, just so as not to create any confusion about my statement. Blancpain Grande Date Aqua Lung (apparently Limited Edition).
Doesn't matter if that's limited edition or whatsoever... I only know I have extra limited love for this.
"My God it's full of stars" I feel like the end of 2001 it just got better and better. Stunning collection, no Navitimer?
