It's very helpful if you post photos, not just the link. eBay listings go away over time; attached photos don't.

I stopped looking closely at it after seeing the size. It is very small, even for a vintage Omega.

Yes, 30mm is very small. For comparison my wrist is 7.3 inches approximately and this is my grandfather’s old watch, which is just a tad over 33mm. So we are talking 3mm smaller, which is a lot when talking watches.

It’s probably the same size as my daughters watch 😁

As has been said over and over again to people getting into this hobby have a look at the sales section on this forum 😀 It really is a good advice. Right now there are several watches what would make really nice “starter” watches for someone venturing into the world of vintage Omega.

Thanks all. You have crushed my dreams 😀
I looked in the for sale section and didn't really find anything recent except for a few sold ones that I would have bought.
Guess I will keep looking.
Can you find what I am looking for in the $400 to $750 range?

I was going to say that the watch you were looking at was handsome, but I didn't think you would be happy with it. (Okay, I don't know you, so I will say I wouldn't be happy with it.). I tend to the automatic watches, because I get tired of winding (personal taste) and the watches of today are so much bigger than the watches of 10 or 20 years ago. This one is even smaller than those, so I doubted you would be happy with it. Keep looking, youll find something. This forum is awesome, I spend hours on here every day or so. My condolences on your getting the watch bug, it can be expensive and frustrating, but also fun. Good luck.

I would look at other brands or alternatively at manual wind Omegas from the fifties.

I don’t know if this is bad form (if so I apologize) but I have a manual wind for sale right now in the sales section from early sixties. That is a pretty honest example and I think the manual wind ones are great for starting 😀 Other great examples come for sale regularly so you should be able to find a great example soon. A had manual wind, both Seamaster 30, for my first and second vintage watches.

I don't mind. Do you mind if I ask the forums opinion of your watch?

@Spawndn72

Are you particularly wanting a seconds on the bottom style watch?

Have you looked at the gen 1 Omega Dynamics? They're affordable entry level Omegas with quality movements, though you have to love the oval case design.

Any thoughts what alternative brands might be good to look at in this price point? Longines maybe? Universal Genève?

Omega Geneve watches from the 60s and 70s are probably within your budget.

Ok, what does everyone think of Togri’s watch linked below. I assume I don’t have to post pictures here since they are already on the site in the link below.
I like the watch. Not enthused about it being in Europe. I don’t have any experience having things shipped from over seas.

You should always post a picture.
