路Hello OF,
I read the story several times here in the OF: Im in the 30s, hard working gave me the opportunity to get what I want: A beautiful watch as an reward for what i reached!
Im now at the same point and really understand this feeling. I had no contacts before with omega (e.g.family) and i had never the wish to buy a expensiv watch.
I read the last two weeks hundereds of pages in the OF and Im for the one hand stunned about the knowledge here - and in the other hand now in love with vintage omegas! Little art works!
In the next months i will try to find my own Omega. I took the way from a clean Geneve to seamaster and stoped at the Pie Pan Constellation. The Connies are so timeless!
Im really in love with the Models 14395, 168.005, 14393
Obligatory for my first Connie is: Calendar, dog leg, Rose Gold arms and markers, silver/white dial
A solid Gold Case would be nice but not obligatory - steel case and bor bracelet are also stunning enough 馃榾
For my first post perhaps not too many questions:
- I recognized, that waffle or hobnail dials never has calendar in this model lines. Is this right?
- There are different types of markers common. e.g: in the pictures above straite or tapering (clean or with onyx) or arrow heads. I really like those thinner arrows (look like small arms) - but it seems there are not quite often!?
- I checked a lot of prices. My budjet for this start should be with gold case around 1500 - 2200 and with steel case around 1000 - 1500? Is this right?
Enough for the beginnig. Sry for grammer and orthography mistakes! Not my native language...
