As @Robert-Jan wrote on his instagram today, it's a 6th birthday of wonderfull Omega Speedmaster "Tribute to Alaska III". A beautiful watch and great tribute to the commmunity and very rare and special watch. I wonder how many of those 2012 pieces we have here 😀 One here 👍

I have one, it's still in its box, never been worn. Keep meaning to get it out of the safe and use it.

I'll be happy to take it off your hands and wear it 😀.

If anyone is open to selling theirs, please message me. One of my biggest regrets was passing on the ST1 due to finances being tied up elsewhere. It would go to a good home and get a lot of use. ❤️

1 here.

Can’t believe I added it to my cart…thought ‘mmmm…nnnn…aaaaa…’…continued to work for an hour and a half, almost forgot about it, remembered ‘shit, I had one in my cart’ (I think it was gone after a few minutes) … and was still able to place another in my cart and order. The world, sadly, has changed…today you wouldn’t get one in 20s…thankfully I still got my Speedytuesday 👍

Edit: here it is next to its 'uncle' 😗

6 years already? Does that mean it's time to think about maybe having to get it serviced?

Bugger.

Plus one! First serious new watch I had ever bought. Not the last, though.

I got one in Aug 2020 from a seller here on OF at a price before they moved smartly upward. It was at max Covid fear time and banks were closed except for the drive thru lane so had to do a wire transfer from there. I had it all written out and it went ok, but felt pretty weird sending money that way. It presents itself much different in person because of the all brushed, aluminum-like finishing except for the polished Omega logos on dial, crown and buckle. Under appreciated at this time, imo.

Looks nice on a racing strap! Have to try it.

That's a Genteel Palmetto brown racing strap with an Artem Richard Mille-style spring loaded deployant.

Thanks! Is it as thick as it looks? I have a Straps by Fleur brown racing strap and I like it but it's a bit thin. I'd love to have something more present on the wrist. Mine looks a bit, let's say modest 😀

Ordered in the first couple of minutes. As soon as I knew you could pick a number was straight onto 1861 👍

Spent the next 4 hours watching the fun and games….and then….US people woke up 😗

I measure it at 2.8 mm thick. Goldilocks....not too thin, not too thick, just right.

EASTERN USA woke up… and I started to pick different numbers, none of which were still available, so when I started to notice that the same number was starting to come up again and again, I FINALLY moved it to my cart!!! 😲
It has faced a lot of competition from the rest of my lineup, so somewhat limited wrist time in the last two years, but it is a great watch!!!
