    Hi all
Are people here also keen on the very old square/tank/rectangle Omegas? I haven't seen many pictures or threads on them.

I'm not specifically asking about these, but there is such as large variety, from the more recent Geneves /DeVilles

The issue with these rectagular watches, is that not many of them were made by Omega in Bienne. Therefore, it is very difficult to find any information on the Omega Vintage Database. All of the above watches are "national production" cases. That is, the cases were made by contractors for Omega in their respective markets (mostly USA, but that 9K one was likely made in the UK). The movements were made by Omega in Switzerland.

That, plus the relatively small size, add up to not a lot of collector demand for these watches. $2K for that very original 9K watch is outrageous, even by London standards.

    Hope this helps,

Here are a couple not so small square ones.

These are 31.5-mm x 40.5-mm excluding the crown and wear like a full-size 34-mm Seamaster.

I have lots of other interesting square/oblong ones if anyone would like to see more.

There are actually a large variety of Omega cased square and oblong watches from the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Ref 3953 cal 353 18K - The ugliness on this one is actually crazing on the original signed Hesalite crystal and only visible at certain angles.

X350, I have one rather similar to your pair, same reference as your first; mine's a cal. 344 (one of the jewels of my Omega collection):

I'm reviving this thread because I was inspired by the Cartier Tank & JLC Reverso discussion. The Reverao us a stunning watch. I'm yet to find any Omega in that sort of style - not the reversing part, just the simple elegance, the clean straight lines, etc.

Omega made a set of really nice square cases, including De Lux gold versions, and triple date moonphases

ref 3637 Marine de Luxe with sapphire crystal as opposed to the glass crystal on the ref 3635 Marine Standard.

I've never seen another one of these with an original black dial, the radium figures have turned black with age but are fully intact.

 I suspect I would as well but tbh apart from vintage it is way out of my comfort zone.

Had one but traded it for an older one... It's a 1550005 from around 1973, called Deauville in the Deville line. Very comfortable by the way and not so impressive when on the wrist.

Yours does't have the original Omega bracelet.
