Perhaps the strap is just 'off spec' which won't let any springbar work.

So I’m a little stubborn and tried to get this to work myself and what do you know…It took a little bit to fit the one side one but it works. Looks as good as I was hoping it would with this style strap on it as well. I appreciate all the brainstorming @YY77.
