    Hello everyone,

So a couple of months ago I sent my 1039/516 bracelet for restoration with Michael in Hong Kong. He did a great job and the bracelet was sent back with some sprint bars. After a couple of times struggling with taking off the bracelet, I realized they had sent back the bracelet with 22mm spring bars. The only plus side of those spring bars is that the bracelet didn’t rattle at all.

Today, I put back the bracelet, but this time on 20mm spring bars and unfortunately there’s quite a lot of rattle. I tried putting spring bars from a modern Speedy I have, but they don't fit through.

Long story short, does anyone here have any recommendations for spring bars for the 1039/516 bracelet that minimize rattling and how I could go about getting them.

    Thanks!

You mean the bar in the clasp? Or actually to mount it between the lugs?

The mount between the lugs. The spring bar that goes through the 516 end link. Seems a Goldilocks spring bar is required, one that fits snuggly enough not to rattle. Thanks!

just shook my wrist, absolutely no rattling with non high-end bars :) You might need to adjust the 516s.

+1. The end links will need to be tightened a bit, if you bring it to your local watchmaker it should be an easy 30-second job. (Don't bring it to your local battery-change kiosk though)

Thanks guys, didn’t know it’s so easy, thought it needed special spring bars. I’ll go pay a visit to my watchmaker.
