Cant speak to the price of the watch in this condition, but it always baffles me when people try to sell stuff online and cannot put the thing for sale in focus. Can the seller not see that they are blurry as hell? Why even post them if they arent in focus? And its the age of digital cameras, if its not in focus, snap like 100 pictures, 1 will be!

" I will ship the watch after certified funds have cleared. " Haha

I wonder who will wire this person close to $30k...

Based on the photos (ahem)...the dial may be a service dial for a 1980 yg. The indices are longer on the 80 vs the 69. The caseback looks correct. It is well worn. Probably has a cool story.

I spoke with the seller a couple of weeks ago and attempted to explain that with a polished case and service dial for a later gold Speedy (as @whyboddau mentioned above), it's not worth anywhere near that. Very cool watch, but condition is king.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the 80's YG speedy did not have an 'Or Massif' dial ... it was actually brass ...so this 'OM swiss made OM' dial is most likely legit.

My opinion was that they were added to conform to the original dial. This is clearly the dial configuration from the 80’s (no onyx markers, no applied logo) and this is an earlier serial. Doesn’t make sense together.

I think the OP has now been pulled too.

Did anyone here make a deal?

I expect the seller is hoping to snag some optimistic buyer who will take a chance that there's a great watch behind the blurry photos. There's one born every minute.

Another great reason why looking at watches when one should be asleep (after some exotic beverages) should be avoided at all costs. Thankfully the wallet remained closed.
