That is very strange. Here in the US they ship, no problem.

Seems strange that they won’t ship it. When mine arrived the UK Omega Rep called me and emailed me to confirm that I still wanted it and which OB that I wanted to collect from.

I seem to remember during the order process you could choose either collect from an OB or have it shipped to your home address.

Maybe it’s differe in other parts of the world(?)

I don't get it. If you buy a watch from my AD, free delivery is part & parcel. To say "come and collect it or you'll lose it" is both unbelievable and unacceptable. I would go bat-shit about this.

I haven't bought / reserved any of the 60th watches or a ST so I don't have a dog in the fight, but I've watched these threads for months and I'll be honest here - it's seriously put me off going for any LEs going forward. I've been an Omega man for a long time but there's something seriously wrong with their attitude towards their customers. Which both surprises and disappoints me.

For every story about OBs acting badly, there's two or three about them acting like they should. The OB I bought my ST and Seamaster 300 from (my first transactions with an OB) were awesome.

Then I’m glad my part of England is not included in your remote version

My experiences with Omega and the boutique (which was Leeds) could only be described as positive. If anything I’m more of an advocate now than I was 12 months ago

That's as it should be though. But by your estimated statistics there's a 25-33% chance that an OB experience will be less than awesome. And that's a problem.

That's strictly anecdotal - if you read through the Speedy Tuesday thread once arrivals began in July, you'll probably see an overwhelming number of positive experiences. And that's just those of us on the Omega Forum, where we account for what, maybe 40 out of 2,012 watches?

I'd be willing to bet that out of the vast majority of peoples' experiences picking up those watches that haven't gone to a member here were positive - if they weren't, the greater internet would be littered with complaints about Omega. But it isn't
