Wow, full payment. That is badass. No doubt they have no problem with folks gladly dropping $7.3k for a watch they will see 6 months later.
Yup, these are going to FLY off the shelves. Universal praise will do that....

I placed my order two weeks ago at my AD. No deposit just a friendly Thank You for the deal.

My Boutique informed me a week or two ago that if I want any chance at one, a full deposit is due immediately. I declined. Not putting down that kind of cash for many months with no assurances and without seeing it in the metal.

Didn't realise the Apollo 11 35th dial was so much more silver/pearl coloured than white until seeing it beside the Alaska project

I would do the same. I wonder if there really are that many buyers that this will be a pre-release sellout. I am going to call my AD and see if he will take an order without a deposit.

How many more have ordered? And who's going to have the first wristshot on the forum?

Will definitely add a custom user title to whoever posts the first verifiable wristshot of "their" snoopy.

I'm going to make some educated guesses here. Clearly, the policy on pre-orders varies from boutique to boutique to AD to fake uncle; some requiring partial deposits, some requiring full deposits, and some no deposit at all. Now, when the piece actually comes available, Omega has to make decisions about distribution, especially when demand is high and supply is limited. Any boutique with deposits, either full or partial will get priority, I don't think there is any question about that. Boutiques with pre-orders and no deposits, well, it will depend on demand. Omega is brilliant when it comes to creating demand, throttling supply and making all of us want it that much more. Ultimately, none of us will really know what the demand will be for the Snoopy, but with under 2k pieces, its possible to sell out more quickly. The 45th anniversary Apollo XI was limited to 1969 pieces, and it took 9 months to sell out of the Omega network. I made no deposit, walked in and bought the first one in my local boutique. Pretty much same for the Grey Side (which is not limited edition of course).

I have not yet had time to place a pre-order. I too would balk at putting the full amount down on deposit out of principle - I don't pay in full for an item I'm not likely to see for 6-7 months. The USD price is a bit off-putting to me, but I suspect I will want it bad enough when its on the wrist that I won't let that stop me.

My guess - In the first month, it will go to pre-orders, and be hard to get, after that, I suspect a lot of the people saying they are going to buy it now end up not doing so, and you'll be able to walk into your boutique and buy it on the spot for several months after initial release. I do expect it will sell out of the network in about 5-6 months. There you have it, I'm usually wrong on these things 😜

From what I hear, US boutiques have stopped taking orders and the rest of the watches are being allocated to retailers. Retailers are very scarcely giving out discounts, and are expecting at least 50% deposits. I understand why many of you would be worried about shelling out that kind of cash having not seen it and having to wait several months, it's not the best scenario. I will say, the watch looks great in the flesh, and if you have the cash, probably worth it. I will, however, recommend trying to find someone to help you buy the watch from Europe, as the US price is so much higher.

I'd say it'll also differ depending on your existing relationship with the boutique, if you're a good customer and they know you I'm fairly sure you'll get a snoopy under your nose without having to cut a cheque first.

Take everything I say here for what it's worth... internet gossip. My sources tell me a conference call that took place this week inside Omega confirmed the watch will sellout via pre-orders within days. Those who are on " interest lists" but no deposits made will have no shot, those with partial deposits will most likely will be told to convert those full deposits or they won't get a Snoopy.

There is no specific data about allocations, you would think an Apollo "Snoopy" watch would get a heavy USA allocation out of the 1970 pieces available. Retail (aka boutiques) will get most allocation and definitely pre-orders fulfilled first, wholesale (aka authorized dealers) will get very limited access after that. Wholesale pre-orders at Basel far exceeded the available allocation and the 1970 pieces in total. If you figure there are 300 boutiques world wide, you only need on average 3 or 4 pre-orders per boutique to run out fast. My local boutique has four fully paid deposits already, and yes, one is mine. (too early to say INCOMING! ?)

As for price, the figure quoted in USD will become the benchmark, all other prices in other currencies will be raised to match the USD price, and this will happen very soon.

I'm the first to say, Omega is most likely playing a masterful hand of poker here, creating hype and demand, even telling VIP clients to get their orders in now or they will have no shot later on. See the recent thread about "investing" in watches, all evidence suggests that this watch will drop in price after release on the secondary market, so putting in full retail pre-orders is probably not the best financial decision, but if the piece is tugging on your heart, and you have no financial discipline (guilty as charged), then you should probably talk to your local boutique, and consider putting in your deposit now. Either way, this Snoopy watch will be a wonderful case study for those interested in any of the following:

1. New watches as an "investment"
2. The law of supply/demand
3. Corporate marketing
4. Veblan conspicuous consumption.

Did I really just go to an Omega boutique, give them a bunch of money, and only walk out with a paper receipt in my hand? I've got to be losing my F'ing mind.

I've done this before a few times... Just wait until Aug/September when you get your "Free" Watch!!! Walking out of the boutique with a new watch and not having to pull out your Card is even better!!

(although every time I've done that, I've ended up buying something else from the 'impulse aisle'.... so I've had to be satisfied with the 'BOGO' deal)

Still wondering about the deposit thing.
I just called the boutique and they were pleased to take my order. I was told the maybe price of 5700€ and the expected delivery in autumn. Exactly the way they did it with my last LE.

No big deal

Yea I've noticed they design the boutiques in a similar way to how supermarkets make you walk to the back isle to get milk so you'll end up with something else by the time you get to the register. Walk out thinking, I didn't come here for Gnocchi (or a Seamaster 300).
