Just got mine from Amazon US today, and it's a ~7.3lb brick. Only the paper book jacket is red -- the actual book cover is black and grey, showing a detailed area of the moon.

It's crazy how the first version of the book is still holding its value on eBay. What does it think it is, an actual Moonwatch?

Mine arrived damaged. Amazon is sending a second copy. Not settling for crimped pages.

Amazon US has it for $201 now, brand new. It's the latest edition, published in April 2017.

First editions of a book are more valuable, even with typos and contents mistakes... I'll always settle for the most recent edition 📖

I prefer the newer editions, especially when they include information that's been corrected or added since the prior edition went to print. Since I just got my first Speedy, a 44.25 Moonwatch Chrono, I'm particularly keen for the new edition as it will include my watch.

The book focuses on the traditional, manual-wound speedies. For recent non-traditional models, like coaxials, it's usually just a 1-2 page overview (if there's any mention at all). If you're talking about the 311.30.44.51.01.002 and its model line, I don't see them mentioned in the book.

Also, it seems like Omega provided, to the authors, pre-release information for this book (not a bad thing, just an observation). While there is an entry for the 60th anniversary Speedy (2017), there's no mention of the recent caseback changes. It does contain the 2014 bracelet change, though.

Not exactly the right place to ask this. You can try creating a thread in the vintage omega area. If you can please provide pictures and links to what you have found. As I can't find any references to that reference.

I really miss the fact that there's no information about the diameter (with crown) of each watch face... could be easily added in the overview for each Speedy... in order to avoid going to the components pages
During meetings & lectures I always carry the Moonwatch Only edition (in fact Signed copie 10 out of 40 for Omega Forum members) so the public can browse it... First question asked about any watch in the book; What is it's diameter ?

I’m now on my third copy, kraigg. The first two were both damaged in transit due to boneheaded packaging. The first one came in a plastic envelope without bubbles. The second arrived in a very thin bubblewrap lined envelope. Hopefully, per my instructions, the third will be packaged in an oversized box and wrapped in bubble wrap. Maybe the third time will be a charm. Oh, I got it directly from Amazon for $173.00 USD including shipping to Virginia. Good luck!

What do you about this one compared to the "Omega Speedmaster The Moon Watch" book? Is the moonwatch only book only contain the moonwatch or could I see more details about the other ones such as the automatic speedmasters, speedmaster moonphase (valjoux), speedmaster perpetual calendar, speedmaster mark X/X.X, and Omega chronograph etc?
