Reply from RJ to @watchstick_81 regarding the clasp of the chronoscope, timeframe is uncertain though;

I remember seeing similar comments from him around the time Omega released the Chronoscope, but I was more so speculating whether it might be released on the annual First Speedy Tuesday schedule. Considering it's been a few months, it seems like a reasonable timeline to me. Fingers crossed.

I've heard that the Chronoscope clasp fits the Professional bracelet (with the new connecting link), so I'm curious if there will be any additional updates when they officially release it for the Speedmaster Professional. It seems to me that there would be no need for an official release if the two clasps are identical. I'm excited to see if there is anything new.

Omega won't sell the connecting link, so Chronoscope clasp won't fit Speedmaster bracelet. But you can polish 1/2mm both sides until it fits, with proper tool.

Is anyone taking bets on whether Omega unveils an official Speedmaster Professional version of the quick-adjust clasp for the 3861 bracelet (ie, as opposed to having to hack the Chronoscope version)?
That would be excellent, especially if they made it for the precious metal bracelets too.

If Omega is going to announce an upgrade to their Speedmaster bracelet, they should come out with a modernized version of the Holy Grail bracelet that will fit the 3861's.

I have the 1450 bracelet on my 20th Anniversary Apollo XI - awesome bracelet!

That's good news... now looking forward if the Omega team can come up with a " real tribute " Apollo-Soyuz Speedmaster in 2025 😗

This!

Would a new ST3 be a limited edition of 2012 or would it be a limited production watch? With the long delays for the Snoopy and the 321 (the sales associate at my OB said production was down to 200/yr 😗), does Omega have the production capacity for a ST3 during the pandemic?

My guess is limited production rather than limited edition. There were tens of thousands of avid Omega fans who missed out on the ST1/2 due to both the extremely low numbers available and the way in which they were sold via an internet lottery; that didn’t go down well with many people. Also, when taking into account the latest snoopy debacle (of which I am also a victim!), I’m not sure whether the company would want to risk adverse publicity and by alienating its customer base further?

That internet only purchase basically shut out like 3 time zones in the US. I remember the ST2 went live at like 5am local time for me. By the time I woke up at around 6:30am it was too late for me.

I never tried to get an ST1 or ST2 through the Omega sales process but was able to pick each one up quickly on the secondary market at about a 10% premium. They've gone up from there but I don't think 2,012 copies each was too far out of balance with overall demand at the time.

I had to be up at 3:00AM here in California to secure my ST2. Not ideal but it was worth it.

Considering they announced 3861 regular production speedies first week of Jan, I am still hopeful they will come up with ST3, possibly a limited production one but registration via online link to keep the tradition alive.

Do you think Omega could do a Komfit Edition to celebrate its ties with the Speedmaster? It would potentially bring the price down half a grand as well? I’m still admiring the Heritage Speedmaster, that with 3861 instead of a 321 please Omega.
