hi

Have been looking at getting a Speedy Tuesday 2017. The prices are up around £7k. How do you know if something is overpriced. I am not looking to make a profit as I want to wear it but at the same time don’t want to overpay to the extent of craziness. I can talk myself around all this for hours and would appreciate the expert views on this forum. I do have a unworn IWC (gift that I never liked) to sell as well but still don’t want the total price to be more than it needs to be.

Thanks

Josh

I would go to sites like Chrono24, Ebay, and even here in the private sales forum and try and get an average of what these watches have sold for in the past year.

£7k is way over the top. They change hands on UK forums at between £5,250 to £5,750 usually. They seem to have settled at around that point so you probably won’t lose if you buy at around there. I would sell you mine for £7k and I rather like it!

Thanks. A brief look around shows that the prices range from 6k to 7K. Appreciate the advice.

Thanks

Only eBay reveals the sale price, and even then, only for the last 60 days. The best you can get from those other sites is the listing price, and then try to guesstimate where sales negotiations ended up.

Watchfinder had 2 for sale over the last couple of months 1 @ £5950.00 and 1 @ £5850.00. They'll have been negotiated down by at least 10% so would have thought the sale price would be low £5k at a guess.

Thanks all. Great to get an understand on where to drive negotiations. In the meantime picked up a couple of NATO straps to keep my collection fresh.

Thanks again.

For example. Choose it after using the strap configuration tool on the omega website. I can see that costing me over the next few months!
