Went to the OB to try to change to new Speedy Pro bracelet, but they scratch the back of the lug like this already. I am very upset to be honest. Maybe I should stick with 1171/633 then馃檨馃檨馃檨馃檨馃檨
Ouch! Its probably much better if you鈥檝e done it yourself. That鈥檚 horrible to see specially its a brand new watch. I saw the same thing happened to one of the memeber here after he decided to changed his omega moonphase bracelet to SS bracelet and the staff scratch the hell out of it and end up replacing the whole casing.

Yep, they offered to swap mine out but politely declined as I had a feeling it would be Scratchville Arizona! I took it home, taped up the lugs and used the tool that came with. Whilst not feeling smug as I feel for you but I managed to do it without making any marks on the case - which is unusual for me!

So, those who are wearing their Ultraman, which is the most comfortable, the NATO or the leather strap?

( mine was delivered in early October but I won't be home until Christmas so have not had the chance to try it yet)

I had mine on the NATO. I didn't take put it on the OEM leather but it felt smooth.

Unfortunately, the leather strap is too large for me. I'd need to notch an extra hole to make the strap work.

Quite disappointing Omega didn't create additional sizes to ensure the custom strap would work. I understand some of the logistical challenges, but at this price point it would've been nice to be able to enjoy the entire package.

Still think a bracelet would have been nice rather than splashing out 拢600 on a new one 馃憥

My OB has no further info about the ETA. They haven鈥檛 had a single Ultraman arrive yet in fact. They also called the head office but they couldn鈥檛 help either.

Seems that delivery by the end of November was a little optimistic.

Very sad to hear any fellows complaining about OB service quality, because these happened to me too. I would never ever let OB staff to change the bracelet anymore, such a nightmare. When I had my Speedmaster 1957 I let them to change the bracelet, they not only scratched the lugs but also the front of hesalite. It is such a simple task that any WIS couldve done it nicely but they can just destroy your buying experience.

Not only that the OB staffs lack the skill to change a simple strap or bracelet, but also incompetent at their job. No knowledge about any of their vintage pieces, and not even knowing that customer can request an archive for those.

Boutique employees are only human, the only way to prevent any damage is to leave it as is. At the end of the day they are salespeople and not master watch makers.

In that case, bring sales people, they can鈥檛 touch my precious watch to change strap/bracelet as novice!!
I go to OB or any top brand boutique only to seek expert/professional services believing that they know the job well they intend to offer. They are then not an ordinary human. They are trained well to perform that task by the brand. Period.

Watch is more amazing in person compared to photos

It certainly is, some sunlight on it really does help.
