My wife accompanied me to the collection of my UM three weeks ago.
Last weekend I slapped my SM300 on and was criticized for wearing a small watch .
Questioned my I don't wear my new, expensive watch 👎.

What happened to the bezel and the hands? 😲

Bezel I'm hoping to rectify.
What's wrong with the hands?

Oh, nevermind. Before I thought your watch is the new 60th anniv SM yet the bezel and hands look aged. Then I realize it is the "real" SM300, not the new one with Master Chronometer 😜

I failed to realize that the minute and hour registers on my Ultraman are not lined up (the hour hand was hidden by the chronograph hand the majority of the time at pick up. The minutes isn't that bad, but it's a hair off) A rookie mistake when I picked it up, should have checked all of it. Gotta go back to the OB tomorrow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Still a god damn nice watch. I was on the fence but seeing it in person sealed the deal.

Sorry to hear that...the 2 issues seem to be common on Speedys...I had a similar issue with the minute hand on the chrono and brought it in to Omega only to be told it is within tolerances.

As for the hour register - try running the chronograph past the 6 hours mark and then reset the chronograph. More often than not the hour register will then reset perfectly to zero. This is another commonly reported issue in some forums. There are some posts where Archer explained why this is so..

And of course bring it back to Omega if you would like to have them rectify it...but be prepared that they simply say it is within tolerances...

Hey, thanks! Let me try running it during my time at work and see how that goes. Also yeah, I also noticed the minute sub dial being off a smidge for most of my Speedy's, but just wanted to note it. Fingers crossed!

That's an Omega Snoopy strap. I changed the stitching in it.
