Pls let me know where you got that nato! It looks amazing!

It was on another watch I bought earlier this year so I don't know, but it's a standard-grade NATO and a quick eBay search turned up a few similar designs. With a bit of deeper digging I’m sure you can find it

Can anyone tell me if the fauxtina on the 1957 speedy is the same as the ultraman? Really like it on the st2 but it looks so dark on the photos of the 1957.

I have the Seamaster 300 but I think the Trilogy watches all had the same shade of Luminova. It's definitely darker on the Trilogy, more orange. The ST2 is lighter and more yellow, and more closely resembles that of a nicely patinated 145.022-69 to my eye

I've yet to see one in real life but from the pics it certainly looks like Omega finally nailed faux patina with the Ultraman.

For those of you who used a vintage bracelet like a 1039 on the Ultraman, what Omega end pieces seem to work best relative to cost and availability?

The 516 endlink is what I have on the 1039. It came with it however, didn’t source it separately. I borrowed it from the 145.022-69 I have.

Man that’s a bummer I don’t think I’ll get the chance to see one in the metal to decide. The ultraman though is perfect. The matte dial and that perfect color lume, it just looks like a perfectly preserved vintage piece. I appreciate that though. Thanks.

Here’s a comparison. Fauxtina vs patina. Hope that helps. It seems to me that He patina on 145.022-69 is not as warm as the the others. The plots on the ultraman is so thin also that at first glance i thought they were in recessed plots like the seamaster 300. That would have been awesome. Maybe they will do it for the 50th? Hehe.

If anyone’s interested, the manager of the Omega Boutique in Oxford Street kindly let me take a photo of the current, available bracelets that fit the ST2.

Omega also makes the 1171/1/633 which will fit the ST2 as well. It's not as sturdy as the modern bracelets as it doesn't have SEL and all the links are hollow but it's a good looking strap. There are many pics of the ST2 (and ST1) on it here and on the FB group.

Still pondering strap options as I wait for my call...

Anybody know of a decent sailcloth-style strap similar to the one on the Snoopy but with black or orange stitching? Not looking to spend a fortune, as I’m fairly sure my ST2 will spend most of it’s time on steel, but I’m toying with the idea of a sailcloth option with a deployant.

I had a bad luck. I picked up my speedy 2 days ago and found out that it has a defect. When I operate tachymeter, the orange hand always stops at 57 second mark and the watch also totally stops... I called the OB and they told me to bring it back and they will take care of it. I know there is no replacement since this is a limited edition. I am so upset that I won’t be able to enjoy my brand new watch for probably next a couple month because mostly it will go to a service center to inspect and fix it. What should I do? Should I request a refund (I doubt they will do it) or reimbursement?? I paid a full retailed price plus tax for a limited edition new watch but I won’t have that experience and its case back will be opened. I am very disappointed....

Sorry to read this.

These things can happen sadly. A friend of mine recently bought one of the new Tudor Pepsi, the date was advancing 3 or 4 times per day so it had to go straight back.

If you have lost interest I would request a refund, can only ask.

While surely it is a bit of a inconvenience , I’m sure they’ll get that back to you soon and you can go about enjoying the watch.

That’s quite disappointing to say the least, but does happen. There were quite a bit of defects on ST1 as well, unfortunately this is the new norm.

I’m sure they would give you a refund.

Need to put her on a bracelet first 😀 "

You don't like it on bracelet like this?

Very very nice indeed. Looks like prices of used speedmaster bracelets will go up for the next few months as stock pile of new bracelets drop... 😀

Wasn’t there a thread for strap recommendations for the ST2? Oddly can no longer find it.
