Heading back to Brussels after collecting mine in London. I treated myself with a G&T for the profit I made by crossing the Channel. Comparison with the Japan Racing will follow ASAP.

Congratulations! Would love to see a few ST2/Japan Racing comparison photos!

RJB has said many times before he isn't a huge fan of bracelets especially on special models like this one and he certainly isn't a fan of the modern Speedy bracelet. My guess is as long as they keep making ST LEs and they keep engaging with RJB and his team then there won't ever be a bracelet on an ST LE. Aside from that, why is it more expensive than a standard Moon watch and doesn't contain a bracelet? It's got a stepped dial made of aluminum, a DON bezel with Tachymetre in orange, orange printed indices, AML, inlayed indices with patina colored lume, and a few other bits and bobs (er blob). All those things require an adjustment to the standard manufacturing process and materials and since they are a limited run they have to recoup the investment costs somewhere and that shows up in the price. Not to mention the box it's provided in.

Hi,

Well, that is depending on the type of bracelet that is available. I don't like the current bracelet indeed. I don't think it is a bad bracelet qualitywise, but I just don't like the looks. I have suggested using ref. 1171 (or the current ref of this replacement part, which is still officially is) but that was a long shot, as I know that this bracelet is what it is, a replacement part and not something that is up to Omega's current standards of bracelets. So, if this changes in the future, a possible future ST3 might come on a bracelet.

No

Under 3-400 if you read the last few pages.

They will call or contact you by email like with ST1 when yours is ready.

Well above 400, but under 10xx. Not everyone who ordered and got one is on this forum I guess ;-)

As far as the bracelets are concerned, I am still in the „evaluation phase“. I am not a fan of Nato‘s, although I quite like the colours of the Ultraman-Nato. The black leather bracelet that comes with the watch is imho not a good alternative, as it somehow „kills“ the cool and fancy nature of the watch. That‘s why I ordered an orange Alligator bracelet right upon pickup at the OB. Let‘s see if that works...

My ST1 actually is equipped with a vintage 1447, I think this (or a 1450) would also be a good alternative for the ST2. It certainly would be a good idea if Omega would come up with an updated version of those bracelets, hopefully we see something like that on a ST3...

Do you mind giving the reference number of the orange alligator strap?

Yes.
But Sir my number 027X is not yet delivered! I’ve not even received any information or email about it from the brand or the AD whom I contacted on this weekend.

You perhaps said that deliveries would be in accordance with the numerical order....

And do you suggest me to buy 1171 bracelet from the brand for this watch if indeed I wish to wear it on bracelet?

Best regards

Hello,

My no.13 also has not been delivered yet. However, I also know that 10xx has been delivered. Production of the cases is in numerical order, but assembly is most likely not in numerical order and delivery surely isn't in numerical order. However, I have been notified that production and deliveries are still on schedule. Omega is not able to produce all 2012 pieces all at once of course, as they also need their production lines for other watches.

I hope this explains a bit.

If you want to wear it on a bracelet, it is a matter of taste what you prefer. I think a 1171 or 1450 would look nice, as always, followed by a 1479 and then one of the newer references.

One other thing to consider is Omega may be sending batches to each country, to simplify the exporting/ customs process (and associated costs). So they may wait until a certain # of watches are assemble that go to your country before shipping the box/ container.

How is the quality of the leather strap ?
I think it is good and I think that it matches the watch well with its orange details 😀 I usually prefer bracelet before leather strap but for this watch I have not decided what to wear. I will see how it looks on an 1039/516 and on an 1171/633 before I make my choice 😁

Thanks for the information. It’s very close to the US price before taxes. The U.K. seems to have the best price worldwide and I’m glad mines being delivered there.
