I phoned them and Gábor said that they have no exact price yet and maybe they'll have only when the first watch arrives.. However based on the CHF price He estimated around 1,8-1,9M (stressed it's only a guess). Anyway if you have any further info pls let me know!😀

Thanks and if I hear something I will definitely pass it along.

They sold the 60th speedy for 1,99M (6.700 CHF MSRP) so maybe 1,9M for the ST2 makes sense..

This is my assumption. However, I’m curious if anyone who bought the ST1 at an OB successfully attempted negotiating a lower price than retail.

The ST1 also had a long waitlist before anyone picked theirs up, so anyone seeking a discount would have been politely shown the door and the watch would have gone to the next person on the waitlist who was willing to pay full price

Frankly, if watches were sold like cars were, the price would be negotiable - by the dealers though. A hot, in-demand watch like this would surely see a markup

I highly doubt anyone would be shown the door and not allowed to still purchase the watch at the retail price if they asked if the price were negotiable. But there is no way anyone is getting a discount from an OB or an AD. Think of it this way, some of these watches will make it to a grey market dealer and even they will sell the watch for higher than retail.

Wow, that is quite significantly cheaper than US and Europe pricing

About £4500, a chunky saving over the UK which is already at the cheaper end.

When did my reservation didn’t picked a location and bow been contacted as well to select a location, tempted to pick UK but with the likely uncertainty of the delivery date (02XX) hard to predict if could travel there for pickup and thus save on price plus VAT.

I wonder if the only way to be re-imbursed on VAT is by filling paperwork on the airport when leaving or is there any company that does exports that could handle this for a fee?

You have to do it in person, atleast that has always been my experience, and you should have the goods with you if they want to see them, sometimes they do, soemtimes they don t.

Getting VAT refunded is a pretty straightforward process.
You fill in a form at the OB with your address and passport number and when you exit the UK you produce the form and the watch at the customs office who will stamp the form if everything checks. Once the form is stamped you can reclaim the VAT at any money exchange at the airport. The only downside is the Omega boutiques use a processing company that charges over £100 fee for a £4000 sale.

Will he not have to pay a corresponding import tax though?

Thanks for explanation. What I wonder is if someone could do all that for a client for a fee, still getting a nice discount as compared to US price after tax. Import tax is something possible, but not always enforced

Started so we don't get it mixed up with # 1 when searching

Let the craziness begin in a few hours

Looks orange to me, which I like as I like orange details on a watch. 😎

If you had to pick a boutique in London to have it delivered which would you choose or are they all the same? Which location has the widest selection of watches and best customer service?

Can you only pickup from an OB in the UK, or is an AD acceptable?

AD is fine. I collected my ST1 from Ernest Jones and have chosen Fraser Hart for my ST2. Only thing you miss out on its any freebies it you're bothered about that type of thing.
