Not that anyone really cares about my opinion on this matter but I think that the watch looks fantastic - except for that "ultraman head blob" which was a serious mistake I think. It just isn't well executed, and adds nothing - just detracts.

Way better than the original Speedy Tuesday IMO, which was just "meh" for me all around. But I agree that the "blob" on this one is not good. Looks like a water stain in natural lighting, and when glowing it's not any better...

I'm not really an LE kind of guy to be honest, but this one is nice...except for that blob...

It’s awesome, congrats to those who are getting one. I didn’t think it would be this good. The dial, DON bezel etc, Omega did good.

Not period correct for the Ultraman, but probably the best contemporary option.

I think the the 1499 would be perfect for this watch..............as I just happen to have one extra 😁

Actually I believe the original is a 1039 , which as you know are plentiful and cheaply available 🙄

Can we leave the ST#1 vs ST#2 discussion to WUS? I am pretty sure someone (a ST#1 owner or future #ST2 owner) is going to get offended and it really is subjective taste. Quite funny seeing certain OF members of the "I hate the Rolex vs Omega comparison threads" crowd posting quite strong opinions of watches they are never going to buy😉

Oh and BTW I think both ST#2 and ST#1 are great👍

Yes, tried for a number , that did not work, too many taken. Then I accidently clicked on one of their "suggested" numbers. At that point I said to myself, "enough of this shit, I better grab this one while I can."

And so it begins

Yeah tried for 1861 again but already gone, got 1015 I think. Mid August..... 🍿

I managed to get in on this one, but find it interesting to think logging in and giving my name, email, phone # and ship address is all it took to ensure a "reservation". All we know at this point is that in <30 minutes 2012 such 'soft reservations' were made, but this in no way means these will all be purchased in the end.

I was happy that someone posted about the US notice on OF last night, as it meant I knew about it and was able to get my 'reservation' from my mobile while walking my dog this morning. I had several freezes as others did, but mine eventually went through.

I agree with many comments that the overall execution (look) is nice, I don't care for the blob (but at least it's well camouflaged in the daylight) but not enough to prevent me from wanting the overall watch.

apparently it was 22mins after release. Hearsay though.
No... they just staggered the numbers. I think it was about an hour.

By bringing it up you certainly were successful trying to avoid it! Great job! 👍

For me people being offended because someone likes or dislikes a specific watch is both sides of the same coin.

To me this is a very different flavor to the typical "Rolex v Omega" threads which are usually full of idiotic claims of one being "better" somehow. But if you see this the same way as people who have differing tastes on some Speedmaster LE's, then carry on...
