Let's see if the TinTin will reach $10k before we reach page 100. Better hurry... only a few posts away!

I was offered $8500 for my TinTin at a local Rolex dealer today. I walked in wearing it and the offer was made. I declined as I will never sell but it tells you what watch sellers are thinking. This guy is a Rolex AD but wants a TinTin. He has all the classics in his own collection and said to me “I need to get a TinTin before they are Snoopy money”. Guy has a Snoopy, 321’s, premoons, original Ultraman, etc. it’s anecdotal but the interest in this watch is high and seemingly consistent.

I don't understand something though. Here in Singapore, you can still find full set tintins for between 8-9k singapore dollars. Significantly lower than what you find on chrono or eBay. I was even recently offered another nos one for 5.8k usd. What's even more puzzling is that these pieces have been advertised locally for quite a while already, with not much interest. Heck I don't care, I'm just buying them up left and right.

I feel like going for a walk, where is this AD

this is getting out of hand. Ebay has two Tintins for sale.

    $8250 and $9900 I wouldn't pay more than $7500

Then you should be snapping up the one for sale in the BST for $7500 and flipping it to this (undoubtedly real) Rolex dealer. Easy money, right?

I haven’t seen a box and papers for $7500 which is what 99% of buyers want on collectibles especially a watch dealer who knows better. I’m not a watch flipper. I never sell watches. I buy what I like and I keep it. I work in real estate and do quite well-flipping watches would be a distraction and poor use of my time.

check chrono24 and you will find...

Flipping for only 1k ??? you all ("flippers") better wait for +3k profit which, sooner or later, will be the price.

    p.s iam not selling either!

Flipping watches is a poor use of your time, but frequent pumping of the "value" of your watch on this forum isn't. Got it.

What is all of this nonsense... honestly... at any given time there is a box/papers TinTin available for fraction of what @Sunsetamps purports is the going rate.

Last week Crown & Caliber had one in LNIB & complete condition for $6825 USD (which did sell).

Here is a COMPLETE one for 7450 Or best offer on ebay (plus seller has to eat at minimum of 500 in fees). Bracelet is unworn and it appears to be mint.
