I said I haven’t seen but keep in mind I’m not looking because I’m not selling. I have my TinTin. I don’t need the money. I don’t sell watches. I leave that to others. My response was to a reply directed at me. If you see a deal that you view as a great deal pick it up and flip it with all the love you have for flipping-I will not get in your way.
View attachment 662614 Up until a few months ago we were buying the Tintin BNIB from Japan and here in Australia for ca. AUD5,200 (USD3,800) 100 pages yet...
Aside of the very collectible nature of the Tintin there is much to like about the dial. The background story is also interesting as a bit of an anomaly in the world of Omega Speedmasters.
Yes.. there are many dead stock in Japan before. But now a used tintin sell in Japan watch shop ask for about 8500 USD
TinTin is here in this chart!! I don’t know it’s official Omega chart or a fellow enthusiast’s labour...
In 2017 when this poster was produced the Tintin wasn't nearly as big in the lore of the Speedmaster as it is now. So, I wouldn't say this is Omega's way of wanting to forget this reference. There are quite a few other references not shown on this poster also.
Another in popped up for sale in case some one here is looking for one: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=643135
I just reposted this image from OF threads only. It was posted some time back on one of the Speedmaster’s discussion thread. I don’t remember when it was originally posted. I saved the image as it had TinTin as well. If you dig here you may get what you want. Regards
I don't necessarily disagree, but they do sell a lot of watches so it'll be interesting to see if and when it goes what list will be.
There's an American Tintin Ebay auction ending tonight.. guess we get to see what a worn fullset is worth. Currently $6800 with a few hours to go.
