No more so than they ever were.

This was an unpopular model at launch, and didn't get a whole lot of love for quite a while (years).

As this model hadn't been in production for quite a while (again, years I'm lead to believe), so what's sat in dealers/boutiques/costco is what's left - if you want a new one, your chances of finding it decrease as time goes by.

Yes I did; Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku... I went to most of them. None of them had any on display.

FYI BIC Camera is not an AD and leaves your card blank and undated. They're a grey market dealer and do offer an in-house warranty, but it probably doesn't do much good.

Mine was stamped and dated, I brought my card to my OB and they said the Warranty was valid?

Hmm that's weird. Was it stamped with Bic Camera? Or pre-stamped with another AD's name?

I've always read that they were grey market, and indeed when I purchased my Tintin in Sept they left my card blank, and stamped their own in-house warranty paper instead

Well, definitely no Omega warranty if from BIC. This was confirmed by the staff at BIC when they sold my friend his Tin Tin.

However, every card has a AD code on them. If you have a way to trace the actual AD, you can fill in the name using marker pen. Omega service centers will still honour the warranty.

Any gurus have a way to trace these AD codes?

I think I may have the last Tintin made, if serial number is any indication. Mine is 77.809.9xx

Sorry, @Dwix, but yours is somewhere in the middle of the collected range. The lowest serial number I have recorded to date is 77 727 1xx and the highest is 77 798 0XX. I have a little under 80 serials to date, but all falling within this range.

EDIT: I have corrected this in a later post - apologies to Dwix.

Who knows. As Tyrantlizardrex says "what's sat in dealers/boutiques/costco is what's left - if you want a new one, your chances of finding it decrease as time goes by." In my opinion, t's just drip feed now. My gut feeling at this stage is that the a production range guesstimates between 500 to 2000 is looking more likely, but it's too soon to get any reliable data. The best that can be said that Omega might have had enough Dials made to meet a limited special anniversary release number issue special anniversary. In 2007, it was a century after Hergé's birth - maybe that number was going to be a special limited edition before the Herge's group pulled the pin. It's all speculation until someone somewhere leaks something...

Correct. My apologies, I screwed up my Excel cells. The highest I have recorded is 77 812 9xx - so yours is second highest I have recorded - has to be close to some of the last produced if we agree that production has ended which I think is safe to assume.

    77 808. 5xx
    77 809. 9xx
    77 812. 9xx

77812999-77727100 comes to 85899. How you arrived at 858 number sir? Please explain my mistake in calculating the figures. Regards
