Believe they will never end up manufacturing it with all this interest existing!
It still appears on the omega website whereas previous limited editions don't

Its strange. But my AD confirmed the the Company was not taking fresh orders for this watch, at least from India. I think Omega should clear the air whether it's a regular model or they have discontinued it. And it it's still a regular model then Fratellowatches have to say something immediately to keep their reputation intact!!

It's not an LE though? Just something they ended up cutting production short on?

I checked with my OB back in June and they said it could no longer be ordered, OOS through Omega. I'm guessing that updating watch status on the Omega site isn't a high priority 馃榾

My objections would be if Omega is still making the same watch as Fratellowatches.com stated many months ago that Omega stopped producing them. They also stated that the company confirmed to them that said model was discontinued by the Company

Omega has said they could not be ordered for several months now--the OB employee I asked even looked it up on his computer. You just said Fratellowatches confirmed that production has ceased. Even the Omega site says it's no longer in production:
https://www.omegawatches.com/watche...rofessional-chronograph-42-mm/31130423001004/

This seems cut and dry: it's discontinued. One dealer from the Netherlands who claims it can be ordered (did he mean from Omega or grey sources?) isn't really proof of production being restarted.

Not screw down - pull out crown. Screw-down crown is not required in space as there is not a lot of water or much risk of flooding... 馃檮

Interesting way to get to the correct answer...

NASA didn't design the Speedmaster, they just tested and approved it for use - not designed for space flight originally.

A screw down crown is not required in order for a watch to be water resistant.

And finally, although space is pretty dry, they called it "Splash down" for a reason...

Cheers, Al

Just noticed you got to this one before me this time @Archer 馃槈

Okay. Thanks

Okay. Thanks
I assume you were responding to BenG's comment about the Dutch dealer (maybe an AD with old stock?)--or was there something stated elsewhere about it being available to order again? Personally I hope no more are ever released. I like the fact that it's slightly-rare.

Yes I felt somehow that someone commented that since it's still available on Omega website it's a regular model that's still in production. That made me react to this thread. I'm sorry. Perhaps I misread something. Thanks indeed. Regards

Here is something interesting:
- Yesterday I did went through Omega's website, through Moonwatch collection, where the Tintin model was to be found.
- Today I checked again, and it cannot be found the same way. Also if you search for the ref.: 311.30.42.30.01.004 on omegawacthes.com, no results will appear.
- Omega's site for Tintin does still exist and you can reach it simply by doing a google search on the ref.

You make the conclusion馃嵖 http://www.fratellowatches.com/speedy-tuesday-omega-speedmaster-pro-tintin/

Not for long...

I bought mine through a fellow forum member two months ago... they had them then, and they still have them now.

This is not a hugely popular watch...

...yet 馃檮

Note my prediction that when I decided not to buy one in 2015, these would in the long run become highly desirable... 馃槈

Now that I've relented and bought one, the values of these will tank. Sorry everyone. ::facepalm1::

I'm joking... I don't buy watches because I believe they'll make money, I buy them to wear. 馃槑

You're right. Since the watch is no longer there we will see the result of predictions of whether the demand for this will go up and consequently the prices or not.

I think a year or two might do it?
