It has been sold..! Crazy prices on the Tintin market.

That is Federico's business so no doubt you tube helped out with that sale too. Plus, not many Tintins find their way to the US from what I see on Chrono24.

It's certainly not worth 16k imo, of course 'worth' is subjective but I feel a range of 9-12k is where the Tintin will settle.

I almost feel guilty for buying a slightly used one for around $3k about 3 years ago, and using it as my daily wearer/ beater watch...

almost.

Right? I remember five or six years ago when Jomashop had new Tintin speedmasters for $3k. I lusted after them, but was in no position to afford one at the time.

I bought mine 4 years ago from the AD at 20% discount and it was around $2600 new obviously with full Omega warranty. It's indeed an unique Speedmaster Moonwatch.

how far along is the estimation of the total production and how many more serial #s are needed? also, who is gathering the #s - happy to send mine along but would rather PM than post.
So, I've got the clasp for the Speddy conversion. Can you help with the other parts (links, pins, screws, etc) needed to make this happen?

This is a pic of a TinTin from 1 Dec 2014 at the 5th Ave OB that I passed on to instead buy a 3570.50. Sorry I didn’t snap the SN.

My favorite Omega. Purchased early 2020 and on the wrist almost every day since.

He is a seasoned seller. He knows what he is doing. So I am pretty sure he will get close to his asking.

There are really no sold comps to support such a high ask, but that doesn't mean that it won't eventually sell, given enough time.

The Japan racing is probably the watch that the TinTin is compared to the most, and even this reference hovers in the low teens at best, but very often in the 11-12k range.

I would truly be shocked to see it sell for this anytime soon.

Time will tell!

To me, it seems like an outlier for sure, I'm curious to see what happens. If it sells in short order, I have a feeling a lot more will come to market, much like the Silver Snoopy leap to $30-40K late last year.

At the height of the Tintin saga, I saw them go for $9,000 or so, but that was quite some time ago. Hope he gets what he’s asking for, that way my other LE’s/limited production will shoot up as well!
