any feedback on which one you got, fitment, do the spring bars need to be curved, etc...

Seems like Horus wants a ridiculous amount for their straps so been eyeing Tempomat......

Prefer the curved end ones (for a flush fit with the case), but perhaps there are other brands I have not considered.....

Feel free to post pics and comments on the one you got....

I am big fan of the Barton straps. Lots of colours to choose from.

It’s not as simple as a curved end to fit snug to the case and integrate with it — the strap ends need to be manufactured to fit the curve of the case perfectly AND to match the spring bar holes AND be designed so that the spring bars keep it snug in place without movement.

Didn’t know about the two sources you listed - Horus and Tempomat. I looked them up, and to be honest, I don’t think they are that expensive for a strap that integrates with the case the way they do. Omega straps that do the same thing are about $100-$200 more.

If you’ve checked them out via honest (I.e., not sponsored) reviews and they do what you want, they seem worth the money to me. If you go hunting cheaper straps (in the $20-30) range, you’ll probably spend more than one of the Horus and Tempomat straps and not be as satisfied as if you just spent the money for the better strap to begin with.

A definite second vote here for the Barton straps. For the money, the quality is quite acceptable, they are unbelievably comfortable, and the color options (including the back side of the straps and the buckles) are second to none. Also like their canvas straps as well.

For kicks I tried my blue 300M strap on my 1861 Speedy. It fit easily enough but there is a gap between the watch case and the straps end. From directly above you don’t see it due to the bezel overhang but on an angle you can see it. 5894A3E5-F6CC-46F4-B921-3636711BDB41.jpeg 07050D0F-24E8-410C-9B1C-83243E6EBBCA.jpeg B83B9D41-242D-41F3-B98B-1EC8112918D1.jpeg D77CF005-AC5A-4365-BC6F-38FA06B71F8C.jpeg

Thanks for sharing. I don’t think I will even try this with mine as I don’t think I can stand that gap. But then again, it may be less noticeable with the black rubber.

to solve this gap, u could try curved spring bars, same width. Angled appropriately, it works like a charm. However, drawback is they will be slightly difficult to remove once installed and require some skill and patience lest u scratch your lug backs.
