the S in Seamaster on the strap-keeper is too far from the rest of the word.
That said, I’ve owned an authentic strap and it is not (in my view) worth several hundred US dollars. It’s a strip of rubber and a couple pieces of steel. Comfortable, yes, but there are much cheaper aftermarket options that are just as good.
I'm not an expert on these and the photos aren't the greatest, but comparing to my gen, it definitely looks fake. There are a number of small detail issues that could be down to photo quality, but the big ones I can't see being bad photos:
- The CVZ lettering looks way off and is off center.
- The logo on the buckle is too pronounced and rough.
- Your pics appear to have grey sections on the end of the strap, which my gen does not have.
This is true of all of Omega's accessories. You're paying a hefty premium for the brand name and the fact that, even if they are overpriced, they are at least up there with the best straps in the industry. I've never seen a NATO or rubber that was better than Omega's. I've seen some that were 80% as good for 20% of the price though.
These are not sharp photos but from what I can see I feel pretty confident calling this a fake. The engraving is too rough and the S in Seamaster on the strap-keeper is too far from the rest of the word.

That Omega logo is all wrong, it's too thick. it should look like this:
I I have one of these straps that's been sitting in my spare strap box for about a year that I wore on my 2531.80 a couple of times, you inspired me to list it here on omegaforms.net.
Edit: there's a ton wrong with that fake, the Omega logo being the most obvious but even the strap ends were produced improperly
