Curious what people think on condition, year this may be, and if parts look correct?

From what I gather due to the inside Of the caseback it's possibly 80's. Im an 88 kid, so it would be interesting if this was that year.

The bracelet has 633 endlinks so my understanding is that it's maybe an early 70's then?

Still trying to pick up on the 145.022, I made the mistake of not asking the community on one other purchase and I'm not looking to do it again.

    Serial # I'm seeing is 47133911 maybe

Price is $2,500....thinking I may jump on it after some thinking.

Way overpolished, no service history, beat up bezel, small bracelet, priced at or above market rate....

I say go for it

But for real if you're looking for a birth year speedy get exactly what you want, in impeccable condition, and almost don't worry about what the amount is unless completely egregious. Always better to "overpay" for something you adore than get a bargain for a compromised piece.

FYI for rough serial number ranges:

Yeah I just looked at that chart, if I'm reading it right, prolly closer to 86'.

Good thing I asked, I was thinking the price was on par. But then again I'm just guessing :)

    Thanks for steering me clear.

    That chart is a handgrenade.

That chart is super outdated. I wish they would pull it. I know the site is historical but it comes up a few times a month here.

As for the watch posted... I think you can find better examples from that period for that price.

Yeah, it's not very useful for actual Speedy referencing, but thought that was understood when I qualified it as "rough serial number ranges."

But back on topic the late-70's to early-90's 145.022s still haven't experienced the price bump like early 145.022s and late-model tritium dialed models, so the OP should be able to find one for around that price range given patience and vigilance.
