    Hi everyone,

I few years back, i bought a NOS Apollo 11 45. Unfortunately i never had the the heart to actually put it on my wrist...

With the 11 50 around the corner, what do you guys think will happen to the value of the older LEs.?
Would you advise me to trade in the 11 45 for a 11 50?

Considering it’s still available from Omega... less then MSRP as it has no warranty and you can find them on the grey market and AD’s for under MSRP.

I think you got that wrong... That’s just the website; the watch has been sold for several years now. A NOS 11 45 goes for about 10k$ according to chrono24

No Omega will state no longer available if they do not have any. I was on the e-commerce part of the site.

Asking price on chrono 24 means nothing.

Scroll down like 1cm more - “We’re sorry, but this product is no longer available.”

I’d say you’d be hard pressed to find one below MSRP.

Agreed. Long sold out! 10k US Aud a little strong at the moment. 9k would be where I think it is.

    Hi Foo,
That one is definitely gone. I was offered the last one worldwide on 14th March 2016 by the former Area Sales & International Training Manager out of Bienne... but decided not to proceed. I can clearly remember the email exchange including the option to put the 020TIZ000765 Ti bracelet on it. Turns out it might have been the right decision, as I wasn't aware at the time that the crystal is Sapphire; I would have preferred Hesalite.
I wonder if that sort of Mod (Sapphire to Hesalite) is possible?

Hey that's interesting! Ask them when they pulled the trigger; maybe I did someone a favour:) It was #338 of 1969.

Well with the sedna gold bezel the sapphire crystal is a good match imo.

I also have bought the TI bracelet. A18BA053-BF3F-4915-A6A9-8A667B996CD3.jpeg 5077DC1D-0CD2-404E-90CB-A1D1D649B41A.jpeg Must be one of the last sealed ones...

I had one and really liked it, but ultimately sold it on as I really couldn’t get on with the sapphire crystal. I don’t think they can be modded to hesalite...

Unfortunately the 50th is said to be sapphire too - here’s hoping it’s a domed ceystal rather than box sapphire

Was that from an Authorised Dealer, an Omega Boutique or directly from Omega HQ? My offer was from the HQ.

How do you like it on a bracelet? I've seen pics online of the combo and it looks amazing

I think the price for 11 45th will hold or go up. There are only 1969 pieces whereas other Apollo 11 LE are usually made in much higher quantities. So the 11 45th is quite special in this regard.

You probably bought the watch as an investment so you could try to sell it with Chrono24 or to a second hand dealer and try to get the most.
For the 50th edition I was told that omega is screening customers so they can avoid flippers and that it’s already sold out...

Last one I see to sell on a forum was listed at $9,800 when it sold in March, so values for NOS are probably $9,000-$9,500. Hard to say what values for this one will do over time. I think the new release could both push prices up (if it's difficult to get, people could turn to the 45th anniversary) or down (the 50th is the "new" one, overshadows the 45th).
