More than many! The 3570.50 caseback has 145.0022 inside, that was its case number. If a back fits easily rather depends if it is recent or not. After all many different companies have made Speedy cases. If it’s from a same case maker it may fit easily, if not then maybe not so easily.[/QUOTE
Hello,
I would say yes, they are interchangeable.
For example, I bought a Speedmaster Pro about 5 years ago, from a guy who was about 60 years old.
I saw the watch on his hand while he was swiping the floor somewhere in Windsor.
I asked him about his watch and eventually I bought the watch from him. I currently wear the watch. It is a Speedmaster 145.022-69 with serial number 316130xx.
He said to me that he never had it serviced since he bought the watch new while he was in the army.
He mentioned just one time it was sent through Goldsmiths if I am not wrong, to have a service estimate.
The watch was then returned to the owner without being serviced, as he declined the £600 full service price.
But somehow, the case back of the watch was from a Speedmaster 105.003-65.
So, the mid case is 145.022 and the case back is from an Ed White Speedmaster 105.003
After I bought the watch I had it serviced by Omega in Switzerland, they did not guarantee the water resistance but I still had regular showers and cleaning the watch under the tap or immersing the watch completely in water and the watch was fine.
So yes, I believe the case back of Speedmasters are interchangeable.
