No doubt the poor watch has been listed many, many times and won’t find a nice home any time soon. I see the seller has included him email address which presumably it’s permitted.

I was once a “near victim” of these listings. Let me tell you what they did with me. It was 3 or 4 years ago. I spotted a nice 145.012 listed for auction. With a few hours left to the end of the auction the highest bid was 1.500 (dollars or euros, can’t remember but it doesn’t matter either). I thought: he accepts PayPal, what can go wrong?
I offer him 2k for the watch. 1 minute later the seller accepts my proposition without any further negotiations.
At this point even I, a complete newbie to this hobby, was able to identity tons of red flags but once again: he was ok with PayPal
I proceed to the checkout and paid suspiciously the 2k as per eBay instructions
30 minutes after my purchase I got a message from the seller: due to currency conversion issues he was refunding me 1,7k (out of the 2k) and was kindly asking me to repeat the PayPal payment. Only this time to a different PayPal account/address. At the time I really wanted to score a fu.…ing speedmaster at at killer price but at that point even I had to bounce back and asked for full refund (there were only 0,3k left anyways).

He most has sent me 30 messages telling he was 100% honest bla bla bla but at the end I got all my money back 😉

If I had go through with the second payment I believe I would have lost all the money cause I was literally painting for something I didn’t know what it was.

This explains how scammers sometimes accept PayPal
