There were “real” Speedmasters (I.e., manual wind, 1861-based caliber) with a moon and date function. But they haven’t been sold for at least 10 years or so.
I'd disagree actually, for me the "real" Speedmaster is something with a 321/861/1861 in it, no further complications and the classic look. There are plenty of watches with "Speedmaster" written on them (and I own quite a few and like them a lot) but they usually aren't tool watches and never went to the moon 😀.

is great, but I wouldn't call it a "real" Speedmaster.
This on the other hand qualifies for me:

Just a good opportunity for some watch photos 😀

My Speedmaster with date (LHS in this picture). The 3313 within makes all of the movements shown so far look agricultural IMO inc the one in Grail and even the one in RHS watch shown here 😝

well the 861 never went to the moon…. 1 went around… so the x33 series should be included no?
