Speedmaster Triple Date Thoughts

Hey all,

Been hunting a triple date (with Tritium) for a while. Saw this one pop up and while admittedly a overpriced compared to market ($3200 USD before shipping/import fees) it looks in pretty immaculate condition, and noted as just serviced.

Curious for thoughts on the condition of the watch and any concerns? Will note I will leave "is it worth it" out of this question, just mostly curious about thoughts on the condition / authenticity.

I don’t see any concerns. I owned one of these in lesser condition than the one you posted and I loved it. Lugs look sharp on this, if it was polished it was done very well.

The patina on the lume is aging nicely and evenly. It is high in terms of cost, you can find a nice example for around 2-2.5k although many of these are international which will end up costing you the same if you are located in the US & the one you are looking at is in the states.

Thanks for the reply! This one is also international unfortunately so will have the 15% on top of it. In my head I've been tossing around if the condition + serving is worth the premium, but think I'm leaning towards not worth it (especially since finding out "recent service" was 2+ years ago).

If it’s international already, there are just as good options out there for 1k cheaper (to be fair I was looking about 3 years ago so who knows where they are now).

I think this may be one of the most undervalued speedmasters, a ton of value for the $.

Yeah probably just need to be patient, been hunting for a little over a month so far for the Tritium versions and seen a couple examples in a reasonable range, but typically cases aren't in a condition I've been willing to pull the trigger on.

If anyone has any leads on a good condition option, I'd love the tip! 😂

And agreed on the undervalue statement! I haven't put my hands on one yet, but heard nothing but great experiences from those who've owned, super surprised about their cost compared to others
