There was also an option to "edit silently" meaning leaving no public trace.
Which any member should be able to do to their own posts, BTW.

Yes - within a certain amount of time. The moderators can check that option at ANY time - or at least I could back before retirement.

Yup - noticed that. Not my doing. I guess the mods got me on the weasel watch list again. It has been quite a while since last time and I feel somewhat childishly proud to be on it once more. 😉

I'm too new to type what I think.

...There are many nice chronographs out there and the Speedmaster is just one of them. Expand your mind. A watch does not have to be space proven to somewhat accurately time some eggs.

Totally agree! But...

nothing wrong with a classic Speedmaster.👍

And a chronograph is not the only way to "somewhat time eggs".😉

And I have even heard rumours that some people could even time their eggs before NASA set the egg standard timing rules. That there were manned egg cooking missions long before. With only a small seconds hand they could do it. I find it very unlikely but who knows...

Two Speedies, and two suitable substitutes! 😀

As per Mods assumed wish, when altering the thread title 😕

My message is that the Omega Speedmaster is just a watch. Not a religion.
It certainly is a religion.

People read from the same book; they have their leaders; they discuss issues frequently; they have different interpretations and a unique, personal relationship; there is a sense of community, and often help within this community; people lose their faith on occasion, some join back, some are gone for good; there is an interesting and important history.

There are plenty of denominations out there...

And a million others related to cars, golf clubs, and whatever other consumer product you can think of. I would hope on a watch forum what we have in common is bigger than how we differ. Some want to reinforce the differences, and some just move along past the things they don't like and enjoy life without fretting about what others like or dislike.

Cheers, Al

I've spent the last 40 years questioning architects dimensions on drawings and then amending them to what actually exists on the building. I wasn't expecting too much accuracy mate!😜 (I love your other watches though... nice collection.😉)
That's more a statement on the builder's ability, not the Architect. Drawings come first, building second.

Anyone who has a problem with people favouring Speedmasters over other chronographs might want to remember that this IS the Omega forum.

Well, since Dennis isn't around, I will point out that Omega has many other very attractive designs. Have you seen the Grand Deluxe? 🥰

That doesn't matter, just post a picture of a watch.
