Thank you for visiting this thread. I guess you are here because of your interest in Speedmaster: s. My message is that the Omega Speedmaster is just a watch. Not a religion. There are many nice chronographs out there and the Speedmaster is just one of them. Expand your mind. A watch does not have to be space proven to somewhat accurately time some eggs. And - no - I do not "hate" Speedmaster: s. I own one -
I like the El Primero and the Breitling. Not sure I like the new Speedy yet, but I have time to decide.
Am I alone with the Lemania being my favorite of the bunch? Wonderful collection sir! i hope to reach that level some day
Great collection. I love my Mark ll, but no praying here. Love the zeniths and autavia. Here are just a few of my favorites. And of course Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Frankly, this is getting tiring. The Speedmaster certainly is just another chronograph. Because of its history, longevity, and especially its accessibility, it's a very popular one. Now, you can continue to deride its fans, many of whom own far more diverse collections; and post anti-Speedmaster threads, the converse of which not a single Speedmaster fan has begun. Or, you can think a bit more openly about it, as many of the people who arrive here asking about Speedmasters are simply beginning their collections with one. You can simply ignore Speedmaster content, which I have a very hard time believing is a difficult thing to do. For instance, I have no interest in old Seamasters, mainly because they're too small for my preference. When I see a thread about them, do I post negative comments because of it? Of course not, because I'm an adult. I simply move on as I have nothing to add to it. Yes, I like Speedmasters. I like other chronographs, and other watches too. I don't appreciate it being insinuated that I'm mindless or an idiot because of it.
I've spent the last 40 years questioning architects dimensions on drawings and then amending them to what actually exists on the building. I wasn't expecting too much accuracy mate! (I love your other watches though... nice collection.)
