Looking through the herd I got a chance to photo this:

It is a beautiful dial - but it is a service dial from the 1970's (I think). Close spaced T's and painted logo.

I would say this was done at Bienne Omega service department. (A total guess, based on conversation with the original, single owner). I love the colour of the indices.

And for comparison here is an original:

Looks good but isn't that 'Speedmaster' writing version slightly more modern than the 70s?
I was under the impression that the more extended/wider S and the R not dropping below the baseline, was from the mid 80s onwards...

That looks like the lovely lume colour you find on 80's Speedmasters. One of the reasons why I think 80's/early 90's Speedys are the best value at the minute.

    It could easily be...

I am unfamiliar with later models and 1970's service was a guess.

Mind you with service dials all bets are off - After all the close T marks were only seen in 1960's watches

This has to be the strangest of all the service dials

That's not what's odd about it. Although spacefruits got one with the same dial.

no T's, dome, professional, printed logo and long indices. Not a particularly common service dial. Might be a tritium dial also.
