Hi

What is the difference in second hand value between the two. Assume same age and condition.

I'd say ball park figures wrt asking prices for a pre owned Reduced, prob in the $1700-1900 range, a recent 3750 in the $2300-2500 range?

However, must of the folks around here will agree that the 3750 is a better -Value

A quick look at the "sold listings" on eBay show...

3510: high $1,999, low $841
3750: high $3,000, low $1,983

Obviously, you will see that the condition/package of these vary considerably too...

Was looking for this info to potentially by a Reduced.

BUT

Something bothered me from the beginning about the reduced when I looked at the pics.

I have now figured it out. The dial is just to busy.

So I will have to search for a Pro / Moonwatch. And I don't think they are easy to come by in my neck of the woods.

I figured out that if you buy a complete set reduced for like 1100-1200 you'll never lose a dime but you'll never make a nickel.

Wait and save and get a pro.

I love the way Speedmaster interest and collectibility has grown organically through communities like this.

The speedy used to be the watch you bought when you couldn't afford a Rolex.

No more!

Most owners of the reduced model (myself included), quite like them! I also have a Speedmaster, and I think a collector is best able to be judgemental when he owns both a Speedmaster Professional, AND. a reduced! Buy what you like, and don't let others influence you!

I have had the pleasure in owning a reduced as well as a speedy. The Speedy I wear in rotation. The reduced was my daily beater and for that it did the job. I have small wrists so the size was bang on. You can't go wrong with a reduced for a daily wear. Its a good quality watch with decent complications.

I like the Reduced. I wish it was a screw-down case back instead of the snap, though.

My speedy pro looks much smaller on wrist than my 41.5 AT.....

Sorry really poor pics.

Why I like my Speedmaster reduced. Stainless steel and 18-karat rose gold, I understand was for Europe only, and made for only a short period of time. When I want "bling", this is what I wear!
