After quite a lot of thought im down to either of these chronos and i'd love to hear opinions on both. I have a small wrist so im really looking for something under 40mm. Both are in my budget and both check a lot of boxes style wise.

    Which should I go with?

Dynamic hands down. I find its dial very appealing.

Both are nice to look at and both are nasty to own when they go wrong as both use compound movements with piggy back modules which can complicate (ie make expensive) your service options. Of the two, I think the Dynamic wins on originality as it isn’t quite so derivative of another pre existing chrono design but those can feel a bit chunky on the wrist and the out of line pushers are even more obvious on the slab sided Dynamic than the Reduced.

Don’t buy either unless they are fully working, ideally with verifiable proof of a recent service, unless the price allows for one to be performed. In my experience many for sale need expensive work sooner rather than later.

The design is quite different. Dynamic is much more whimsical while the Reduced is straight on sporty. I'd go with what fits my personal style best, especially if I had only a few watches in my rotation.

Speedie Reduced brings in the dial colours in the Schumacher range - blue, yellow and red, as well as black. Yes, they'd be my choice over the Dynamic Chrono.

Thanks for the input guys! I've been leaning more toward the dynamic as well. Limited production run, might lead to a better long term value, and it seems the general consensus is hold off on reduced till you can swing a pro.

Dynamic for me, those chronos look amazing and unlike anything else our there. The Reduced doesn't do much for me personally, I'd much rather pay the extra for the Professional which doesn't wear as large as you might expect.

The bezel is 18-karat rose gold. Can’t answer your question about the Professional with an 18-karat rose gold bezel. This one is about 30 years old, and as made only for a short time.

I like the dynamic but as mentioned above both contain the piggyback chrono movement and as a result if you buy one that appears cheap and "within budget" keep in mind ALL of these watches are in need of service so it could be a very short period of time before you get another bill of nearly the watch's value again to get it running right.

If I were looking at a Reduced, I think the Schumacher Racing dial ones are the best:
