This one is growing on me.

Would have been a no brainer for me if it had the orange hands and hour indicators of the black dial version.

Wacha think?

A watch to respect in its own right, but, to my eye, it looks more like a Rolex than an Omega. I'd suggest that Omega could well market versions of this kind of (more dressy) aesthetic with a model name distinct from Speedmaster which I think should be reserved for the more 'tool watch' types. A side benefit would be clarification, especially for new-to-Omega buyers, of the Speedmaster range, which has become very extensive and potentially confusing, (particularly) where the movement/escapement type isn't immediately obvious.

And just a gratuitous pic of my Racing dial Speedy:

I actually like both watches very much and feel each is very unique in their own right. Agree the newer white dial feels a little more Rolex-esque though. Both beautiful watches

I tried it on at an OB a few weeks ago - definitely super nice. It is still high on my list to get but for the price, I am going to wait and see if I truly miss it.

That said, this comparison to the Panda Daytona came out yesterday (great vlog BTW). Enjoy!
If the link is blocked for some reason, search for Watchfinder on Youtube "Can Omega Beat Rolex At Its Own Game?"

I like this Speedmaster Racing version a lot. I've had my eye on it for a while - the white dial and darker hands just work well for my eyes. Going to be purchasing it shortly.

Love the color but should lose the date. Some might say then it looks to much like the Daytona but that would make me happy. Also much cheaper and easier to buy.

Did you spot that the speedy style bracelet has the new Omega design so the end pieces don't extend out? Seems to be a much better idea than the older end links and makes a big watch wear much more comfortable.

I like that a lot, and I like the fact it has a data also. Shame the black bezel isn't a little more matt like the Daytona though.

Has it grown on you enough to go back and buy it?

Mine on leather. It is probably the Omega that I wear the most. It was my first Omega.

Yes, am seriously considering it.

It’s a very nice watch. If it’s white you are after, check out the CK2998 also. Looks good on both strap and bracelet and obvs wears smaller.

Have the pulsometer already. Nice one indeed.

Also thinking of the triple date and the rattrapante. Trying to expand my speedy collection with variations on dials, complications and movement.

Currently have the hesalite moonwatch, ST1, ck2998, trilogy and blue moonphase.

So have the basic black, reverse panda, panda, vintage look and blue for dials.

Have tachymeters and pulsometers.

Have a moonphase.

Have manual and automatic.

If I were to get a white dial Omega, this one would be up for consideration.

Now, am glad i didnt chase much after japan racing, ultraman and tokyo speedies (though i did try). I think i would have a better collection and variety with the this racing, the triple date (maybe another blue dial) and the rattrapante (maybe the black). And hopefully the new gold apollo XI with the red bezel.

Just arrived - I'm really happy with it. It looks awesome in person and makes a great 50th birthday present. 😀

I'm looking for a strap (with deployant) to switch it up a little from time to time. I tried on the black dial version with the perforated leather strap while on vacation last week - I didn't really care for that strap. Would the Silver Snoopy strap with the white stitching fit this one? Spacing on the lugs on this is 21mm. Anyone have any suggestions?
