Speedmaster racing chronograph size

Could anyone who has a 2 dial Speedmaster Racing Chronograph please tell me what the diameter is from bezel edge to bezel edge.

I know the watch is listed as 44.25mm but my understanding is that is the total case size and would be good to know the total diameter of the dial and bezel.

Thank you.

The left side of the case extends a little beyond the bezel, but edge-to-edge the bezel is 40mm.

Thank you for your reply.

That’s interesting to hear as in pictures looks quite a bit bigger than other 40mm watches, but nonetheless it’s good to hear.

The numbers are a little deceptive. To me, it doesn't wear nearly as big as the numbers would imply. Even the thickness isn't really that much of an issue thanks to the bracelet and case design. I love mine.

Looks great on you. What size wrists do you have?

I’m after a panda dial Chrono and this looks the nicest one out there. Off to the AD I think to try one on I think!

I haven't measured it in a while, but I think my wrist is about 6.75 inches. To me, wrist shape is at least as important (and perhaps more important) than wrist size, and this watch works well with my wrist. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you try one on.

I have similar size wrist to yours and hence why I was a little unsure. Have tried one on today and think it looks great, very wearable and no lug overhang so time to sort the best price now!

Thanks for your input.

I owned the black-dial version (7" wrist). Liked lots about it, including remarkable accuracy of movement, but would suggest that if you're able to try it on at an AD/ OB again it might be worth wearing it round the shop, as it were, so you get a sense of how it wears over longer periods. Didn't do that with mine; wish I had. The white dial version is a stunner.

I can't say enough about how much I love my white racing watch. It's a big watch but with my >7" wrist size it's phenomenal. I have a few moon watches, the same size ceramic Apollo 8 and some other big Oris/Hamilton/Zenith watches but this one still tops the list! Take the plunge, you won't regret it!!

Thanks guys and I’ve decided it’s the white dial version for me. ChronoB has already posted one great pic, anyone else with a wrist shot?

My 44.25mm Speedmaster Racing wears on my 6.75" wrist smaller than most of my 42+mm watches. Don't know why, but it does.

My wrist is also 6.75 inches, and I can attest that it wears like a smaller watch. The 44.25 measurement is deceptive because the case extends between the crown and pushers. From a case perspective, it wears more like a 41/42mm case. Also, the case thickness is rarely noticeable, in part because the bracelet hangs straight down from the lugs and hugs the wrist, and the visual design elements keep it from looking like it extends very high on the wrist from most angles. It will be different for everyone, but I recommend trying one on. I think you be surprised at how it wears.

Thank you and all good to hear as you guys have the same wrist size as me. I thought it wore well when I tried one on at the AD and now have the panda dial on order.
