Speedmaster pusher sticking out too far?

Finally got myself a new (to me) speedmaster and I really like it so far. There’s just one thing I didn’t notice before I bought it. It seems like the Chrono reset pusher is sticking out farther than the start stop one. It’s very slight, and the chronograph works just fine. Is this something I should go out of my way to fix immediately, or should I just stop by the omega boutique in NY next time I’m in the area? The watch is under warranty. Thanks

Wrist shot cause why not.

And the very slight issue. I’ll admit I’m probably just being paranoid. It’s pretty hard to see in the pics

The pusher needs to be replaced. Your water resistance could be compromised. 10 min job by an experienced watchmaker.

I'd say that the pusher cap screw just needs tightening. No need to replace anything.

Unfortunately it looks I’ll have to send it in. I was told 6 weeks!😵‍💫. I may wear it for another day and the send it in. Bummer. Thanks for the input

I would agree if it were any other brand but Omega replaces the pusher assembly at every service whether it needs to be replaced or not.. I'm sure there's a reason they consider it as a consumable. If OP sends it in to Omega, they will 100% replace the entire pusher instead of replacing the gasket then adjusting it.

You said in your first reply that an experienced watchmaker could fix the problem in ten minutes. You are correct.
You also said the whole pusher needs to be replaced. Sorry, but you are wrong.
What Omega would do at a full service is irrelevant here.

I guess that’s what hurts the most. It’s a ten minute repair that will take 6 weeks... but I guess I have no choice if I want to keep my warranty so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So I just received a call from the omega boutique I dropped my watch off at, and they want around 250$ for a “water resistance service.” Shouldn’t this issue be covered under warranty? I’m going to fight it, but I just wanted to get another perspective and make sure I’m not in the wrong here. Has anyone had a similar expierience before?

IMO this is a warranty repair, provided the watch is actually under warranty and you have provided them with the appropriate documentation.

That sounds like miscommunication to me. This has to be a warranty repair based on what you provided us.

Thats what I thought. I’ve given them all the documentation they’ve asked for and I have more than a year left on my warranty so I should be all set in that regard. Perhaps it was just a miscommunication. Thanks for the responses, I’ll make sure to fight this if they persist

My experience with OBs is that they are super nice and customer focused. I would not look at fighting them so much as just calling up and asking why it would be a charge for the service and then asking why it wouldn't be a warranty repair. They will do right by you and get your watch fixed. That pusher is clearly out further than the other one.

Yeah, I guess fighting is a strong word. Didn’t mean it like that😜

From your pics I can’t really tell. You got me staring at mine now and it looks pretty much the same...is there a standard amount of space they should be sticking out that is visible to the eye?

I’m assuming the OB confirmed you have a water resistance issue based on the pusher?

From the pic showing the back side of the watch, look at how the bottom pusher recesses into the case vs. the pusher on top. The top pusher is clearly more recessed to me. I would think they should be even. At least they are on all my chronographs.

Lower pusher cap is coming unscrewed...

I'm not looking at the overall height - I am looking at the large difference in gap shown here...
