Omega Speedmaster Professional Mk. III Automatic Description from the seller: Model no 176002. This watch is next to mint - serviced. Not easy to come by. Popular with pilots. Real eye catcher. I dont have papers for this watch. It was bought from a french air force pilot. All this information above came from the jewellers in Argentina, where the watch was purchased. Seller has held it for 5 years. Just looking for pointers as to its condition and a deeper understanding of the piece as presented. Also what would you expect to pay for it in €? Any information appreciated. Thanks...Hotbot
The dial is not correct. It is a fabrication - applied metal hour indices shouldn't be there and even so they don't all match. The text at top has been repainted as well. The photos are not good enough to properly evaluate the case and bracelet but they look ok to me. But the dial is a disqualifier, I would pass at any price.
AndyK-Many thanks for the quick response and clear advice at the end. It's great to know that you are here (and clearly very willing) to help noobs like me in instances such as this.
You also need to try one on if you can..they wear very very tall on the wrist...not everyone's cup of tea..
