Speedmaster professional bezel on a Broad Arrow coaxial 1957?

Hello all,

I wanted to know if the regular black speedmaster bezel will fit on my broad arrow 1957 321.10.42.50.01.001? I think the watch would look even better with a black bezel and have bought a used OEM bezel from a 1999 speedy pro 1861 to experiment

Would anyone with any knowledge of this be able to weigh in on this? Thanks in advance!

I believe it does fit yes, I have seen the reverse ie that metal Broad Arrow bezel on a Pro. Be aware not every bezel fits every case without some intervention sometimes

I don’t see how it would fit. They are different case sizes and with different crystals. The metal bezel that fits on the pro is from an older Professional Speedmaster that had a metal bezel — the 1957 Replica from the early 2000s. They aren’t from the modern 1957 line.

Yes, No, and I'll add Maybe........all three possible answers. Ain't the web so symmetrical and democratic?😁

Let us know what you find out.

Nice watch as you have it👍

You are quite mistaken. They are not different case sizes. This watch is not from the modern 1957 line as you suggest (it’s at least 10 years old). Those are straight lug 2 register watches and very different. The watch shown has the case number 178.0022 it’s a Co-ax broad arrow 42mm and in fact is the same size as sapphire sandwich Pro with a minor difference in case depth (which doesn’t effect bezel fitment). I have one with a silver dial.

I stand corrected. I thought those also had a slightly wider case. Guess my vote goes to a “maybe”.

Yes there is one of these which is 44mm but there are 42mm versions too. This is the latter. I agree maybe is safest since sometimes bezels don’t perfectly even between Pros of different generations.

Thanks all for your input! Not quite the definitive answer I was hoping for but given that they are the same case size I can’t imagine why omega would make the bezel fitment different??

Anyway, the bezel will be delivered in the next few days and I’ll have my answer one way or the other!! If not, I’m sure the speedy pro bezel won’t be hard to move on.

I will post here with an update for anyone interested!

Interesting mod, I am looking forward to seeing the results. 👍

What bracelet do you have on the watch in the photo please?
