Did mine (DIY) recently, not perfect so will probably re-do it again either myself or buy the inner tray (prefer 8 spaces as some of you as well) if can find a reasonable price for it (suggestions are welcome 😀 )

A question for the minster chrono inlay people. Does your insert sit perfectly or is there gaps in between the inlay and box? I fixed mine like this.

With mine there's a little bit of wiggle room, but still a good fit. I also want to be able to take the tray out for the safety deposit box.

How did you fill the gaps?

In my case I wanted it to look more “integrated”. Therefore not being able to easily remove the tray is/were no problem. After some trial and error I found some faux suade that I filled the gaps/wrapped the box’s side with.

Love the fact you have retained a cover and the paperweight, bravo!

A little hot glue and the medallion stuck right to the cover. Seemed fitting.

The interior I did myself yes. The insert I bought.

I like the insert from MisterChrono but 300 euros is way too much for just an insert. Yours is from MisterChrono?

Have someone converted the “small” Speedmaster 3861 box into a strap box? Recently sold my Speedmaster Legendary Moonwatch “big box”, which first converted to a watch box and later into an accessories box, as was too big to be practical on my safe / vault at 12 1/2 inches wide x 8 3/4 inches long x 4 2/5 inches outside dimension:

Am now considering converting a spare “small” Speedmaster 3861 box into a strap box, which would have about 7 1/2 inches wide x 5 1/2 inches length x 2 inches size on its bottom side (as shown below), enough to substitute several Omega red service cases which currently use to store my bands and bracelets

It wasn't (isn't) listed on their website. Email them directly and let them know what you want. They got back to me pretty quickly.
