It's not so bad, it's just borderline OK for me. I guess I'll be sticking to vintage.

The platinum Seamaster 300 MC was something to the tune of 40-50k. This will be at least 60, but I’d expect 100 or so as it’s a pretty ambitious watch. Not one for me though, cost notwithstanding

at that price margin, better option to own one may be the first 321s.

Agreed. There's nothing particularly offensive about it -- I actually like it -- but I'm not in love with it and I think they could've done a lot better. I won't fault those that buy it, but as of right now, I think I'll probably pass.

Called it again 😁

321 to come out in a watch, and will be announced on the 20th of July......😉
Won’t be cheap and won’t be a LE.

Agreed. It looks... fine. Precious metals don’t appeal to me in any way, and short indices seems like an odd choice.

Keep everything the same but long indices, SS case, acrylic crystal, offer a flat link bracelet option, and rhodium plate/cotes de Genevie finish on the movement (this isn’t a tool watch, so let’s not pretend), and I’d be all over it AT $10k or so. I love that it’s not another “replica” style like the 60th and the FOIS, but for the price they’ll be asking, I’d MUCH rather have an actual vintage 321 speedmaster. And quite a bit of money left over.

Omega website says "black ceramic bezel with the Speedmaster’s famous tachymeter scale in white enamel". I assume they mean vitreous enamel; enamel paint wouldn't be worth mentioning. Is using vitreous enamel for the tachy scale a first?

Pretty close to my guess also. I thought they would do a platinum “moon dust” dial though. It just seemed fitting. I will admit when they did the white dial red bezel with that effect on one of the Japanese Olympic models I thought maybe not. I did think ceramic or Enamel bezel in my heart, as I’m surprised we have not already seen one.

The moon meteorite subdials makes a bit more sense historically with a black dial then ......

Wait....

Platinum moon dust dial panda with meteorite subdials.... omg I love that idea.

I like it.

Upsides imo: pretty much everything. Especially the moon meteorite dial (whatever that means) sounds like a fantastic feature!

Downsides: is probably going to be mad expensive.

I didn't see case dimensions anywhere. They may have given it short lugs to offset a larger diameter.

It’s a 42mm case. Both Omega website and Fratello say this.

The Patek 5172 is at £56k, so it must at that sort of level. It does look good though.
