Out of TIME!

There was on, maybe still on ebay, it had gold tone case, oribinal box leather strap. The case back open movement looked good....
Here is the kicker! Lighting stunk, but I noticed around the crystal & the case back the fabulous goo!
This watch has been in storage a very long, long time & most likely never been serviced.
In that time frame the rubber compound will liquify back to a gooey mess. The same compound must have been used in Bell & Howell 8mm projectors as they turned to a gooo mess also.
Anyway, if you buy a MKll be carefull as that stuff is nasty on clothing... so don't blame the party that sells you the watch. Keep it in a cool place & have it serviced.
I bought one some 28 years ago, put it on my wrist & it was a mess.
So I pass it on to be prepared if you buy one that has been in storage for years!
Keep them wound & ticking!
