What state do you live in? I bet living in Los Angeles makes the cost high. You said you find the for 1k regularly on Ebay? When? I don't see any even close to that.

It’s been about a year since I last helped a mate buy one but this is the type of early example I’ve pushed a few people towards:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-Watc...e358087:g:jo4AAOSwvyhgZ1k7#vi__app-cvip-panel

this one went a few days ago for 1400, it’s not as nice or new as yours but that’s the kind of ballpark for earlier examples.

I’m in Australia but most independents come in a bit to a lot cheaper than the Omega quoted service price, $350usd would be what I typically pay for one of these to be serviced by a good quality independent watchmaker here.

For a couple of comparisons watchguy charges this:

https://watchguy.co.uk/price-list/

and this Australian charges 500 aud (380 usd) for automatic chronographs.

My guy doesn’t change a premium for triple dates over other chronographs as he finds they tend to be less work than the fussy 321s I bring him anyway.
