··Prolific Speedmaster HoarderThis is a really lovely handsome watch, built up by me as a Panda Dial using a standard (black dialed) watch acquired by me in Bangkok in 2011.
It is reference 145.0022 345.0022 and serial 77149774.
It is similar to the Mitsokoshi special edition but this is not that special edition it is a watch modified by me to look like it.
I bought the Panda dial and handset from (then) Watchco in Australia, and had Omega Bangkok fit it. Unfortunately they did not give me paperwork. (Thai under the table deal - not my choice!). Again in 2011.
At the time, they said it did not warrant a service, even though I pushed them to do it.
So I wore it for a bit, but other older watches always seemed to push it off my wrist, and so now I sell it as I am trying to refine the watches I own to ones I want to reach for, and this one is too modern for me.
The dial and handset are of course original Omega parts, and the watch is in excellent working condition.
I do not think you can easily get a Panda dial now, and it was quite a price when I bought the dial. I had a look and the one I found on offer online is over £500 and the hands will be another £250. if you can find them.
Moving this on as I am streamlining the collection, having sold some pieces it feels good to only keep what I really want to wear.
Serial is on the lugs and matches the movement.
Its a lovely watch, I just do not wear it enough to keep it.
I am looking to sell this watch face to face in UK - I am located in West London, or near Guildford in Surrey.
Price is £2800.
References here on the forum, and I am the author of www.speedmaster101.com so my reputation is important to me. More important than selling a watch.
There is no returns on this and no warranty. If when you see it you do not like it for any reason then of course you dont have to take it. Though I cannot see why you might not, its a very cool thing. It does after all look very similar to the real thing that I noticed sold for $17,000 recently.
