·Hi all!
I have a lot of experience replacing crystals and gaskets in seiko 6138 and 6139 chronographs.
I just picked up an Omega Speedmaster Mark II 145.014 which needs a new crystal. I have a source for the OEM crystal and gaskets via eBay.
What I also apparently need to install the crystal is a reduction ring part no 5021409028. It’s not currently available.
It Does anyone have one for sale or rent, or is there another way to install a crystal with a regular press? Omega wants north of $300 plus their wait of 6-9 months …
Movement was overhauled recently and I’m hoping to handle the crystal myself - OEM on eBay for $40 or so…
Any tricks for an install if the jig cannot be found would be appreciated. Regrettably I don’t have a metal lathe so I can’t make the jig myself.
Thanks!
